What is your opinion? Please realize that I am not stating MY view on purpose. Please do not suppose you know my view. I am SO weary of people jumping on me thinking I am for or against something simply because I have tried to remain calm as I ask a question. Thank you.

I didn't know she is on a hunger strike. I guess I should preface my answer by saying that 'in the beginning' I had more sympathetic understanding for Ms. Sheehan, since I am not a fan of the war or our leadership. But when she went to South America and stood arm-in-arm with a dictator there (I can't recall his name right now), she started to look more like Jane Fonda, so my opinion of Sheehan changed. I just don't think of her and am unmoved by any hunger strike she may be on. She's non-influential to my way of thinking.

I think ANYBODY going on a "hunger strike" is just about the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Who, exactly, are they affecting besides themselves? Do people actually think that other people will do what they want so that person will eat some food? Maybe...possibly...a parent and a three year old having a tantrum.
But an adult saying,
Will you do this so I can get nourishemnt?
Nope...heeeeere's your sign!

I have great respect for her and her mission to make Americans aware of the true grief of war. If she wants to go on a personal hunger strike, who are we to judge? More power to her!

let her starve!!!----everybody deals with grief in their own way----unfortunatly for cindy--she now has a bunch of fanatics steering her boat for her!!!--they are using her
