Egyptian gods, see link below:
I've been reading about Moloch, or Molech (Leviticus 18:21) in the book "The Fourth Thousand Years" by W. Cleon Skousen, which describes how Moloch was a "metal image...with a furnace inside with roaring flames which heated the metal statue to a glowing hue. When the metal was red hot the (false) priest placed a tiny infant in the cradled arms of the image where it was instantly roasted." (page 325) Skousen goes on to say, "The Bible is plain that the curse of child sacrifices was one of the abominations which Israel borrowed from the heathens. As early as the time of Moses the Lord was compelled to cry forth, "Thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech!"
Another couple of really insidious gods were the Phoenician sun-god Baal and Ashtoreth, or Ashera (pages 322-325). These gods were in all the land of Canaan and were associated with fertility cults and "official" prostitution, as well as human sacrifice, including virgins who refused to submit to the vile rituals. Pretty gross stuff. Hope this helps.

It depends on your definition of "false gods". If you're going by the christian/jewish defintion that anything other than *the* God is false, then there were many. Lots of other religions existed in the time of Moses. Most notably that of the Egyptians, who have many gods. Mesopotamians also had a multi-god religion, as did the Celts, the Romans and the Greeks, and the Indians. Specifically in relation to Moses, after he gets the 10 commandments, he finds his own people worshipping a golden calf.

During the time that Moses grew up in Egypt and subsequently came back to lead the Hebrews out, he would have been exposed to the Egyptian gods -- Osiris, Isis, Set, Anubis, Thoth, etc. Not too long prior to the time of Moses, Ikhnaton introduced the world's first monotheistic religion centered around Amon-Re, the sun god. Sigmund Freud speculated in a book called Moses and Monotheism that the cult of Amon-Re was important to the founding of Judaism. Like one of the other correspondents said, the Near Eastern gods such as Baal, Ishtar, and Tammuz would have been around, as well as Babylonian gods such as Marduk. Hope this helps!

To get a quick look, examine the list of Demons. All of those names are old gods that were subverted by Judaism and Christianity into their own panthology.
Quite interesting really.
