I love girls, and love the thought of sex but i dont want to have it yet, i feel that if i do it, i'll be tainting the girl and i wouldnt have anything to give to them. Sex is the biggest thing a girl can give, Why should i take it and have nothing to give in return. There's onyl so much i can give at this age. Im 16, i love movies, reading, video games and partying with my friends in the NY party scene, everythings great but when the topic of sex comes along(which it often does) i feel like im obligated to put something foward. I hate how my friends potray women, kind of like there nothing but a walking hole. I hate that i think like this at such a young age, what should i do? any thoughts or opinions? Greatly appreciated.. Thank You in advanca ....

Hi. I think you're a very thoughtful and considerate person who has given much good thought to your issue. Being a virgin is certainly nothing bad or something to be ashamed of. In fact, I commend you! There is so much more to sex than most people think, especially at your age. There is a deep, emotional issue also, for those of us who see things like you seem to. I believe it's much too young for such a serious step. Keep doing all those nice social things you're doing and feel confidant that you're doing the right thing. Who really cares what "the others" think. Unfortunately, there are many who act and think the way your friends do. So sad. When you're older and the time is right for you to take that step, that person you're with will be very fortunate to be with someone so caring. Believe it. I like your morals!

You have great respect for women, congratulation! In this day and age where sex is passed around like candy.
My son is 17 and he's still a virgin. He says he doesn't want to catch a disease or be with a girl that everyone else has had.
He is waiting for a nice girl who is saving herself for the right guy like him.
My son isn't a geek or weird, he's goth and he likes to party, and the guys he hangs out with talk sex all the time.
Do like he does, don't say nothing.

wow I'm impressed by the way you think at 16, that is very mature of you and no its not a bad thing, its just the way the world is now, its rare to find a young adult still b a virgin, but its not so much weather you are or ur not anymore, i personaly think what counts is the respect you show for that girl, as long as you do everything honestly and respectfully there is nothing wrong with having sex.

No its no longer undesirable in any respect. i'm a 23 12 months previous virgin. for me i wanna (attempt) to attend until eventually i'm married, yet in person-friendly words you'll comprehend even as the time is ideal for you. Plus there are alot things you may want to do as well sex. foreplay is a tease to three yet many can savour that merely as or almost as a lot as having sex.

It is certainly not a bad thing. Sex is not simple. It is best as a way to express yourself to your spouse and recieve such an expression. It is procreation/recreation. Sex is work and responsibility. I have heard of so many loosing much of their sex life after marriage. Virgins who marry can only get a better sex life...with work and patience and much learning. Sex is not simple; but it is definitely worth the wait and the effort.

Do not have sex until you feel ready...

There are many guys and girls who wait till they are in their twenties or later....

Just because your friends are doing it, doesn't mean you have to do it too. There may be the pressure of having sex, but try to avoid it. You should have sex when you feel ready and with the right girl.

This is not an embarrassing subject, nor is it a bad one.... If you don't feel comfortable talking to your friends about your sex life, or lack there of, then tell them that. Or you could just agree or disagree with what they say. Don't lie about it, but you also don't have to completely tell the truth....

Whatever makes you feel more comfortable!

Not a bad thing at all. The average age of lost virginity is 17, some older some younger. We all stumble upon the day when it finally happens, you have plenty of time to wait.

The way you are thinking is extremely sensitive and logical. Wait for a girl who isnt all about sex, wait for the right time, and go for it.

I personally respect you for that! For you, especially at 16, to not be craving sex or think you should have had it long ago is shocking! I have many guy friends because I used to be a major tom boy!Well their opinions of me changed when I began to "change"! Now I am 16 & they treat me like a piece of meat! It makes me feel very used because they used to be my best friends ..... wierd ... I know! If you understand what I mean. It's very good that you don't think of women as a peice of meat & I deffinatly respect you for it! Also, you shouldn't care what your friends think of you & if they were truely your friends they wouldn't/shouldn't put you down for not wanting to have sex! In my opinion the best choice is to wait until you are married to have sex! It is a special thing & it's a gift like you said & you shouldn't just hand it out like a pack of gum! & BTW I love to read & of course party! ttyl & hope everything works out for the best

Sincerly,
Giggles

No, it's normal. And when you say " i have nothing other to give." You're wrong. You stated " I like reading, video games, hanging out, etc." You seem pretty okay and dateable. Just don't push it so much. Sex is just a physical action, like basketball or golf. Just another natural high. And that natural high will always be there. So, don't push it so much. You'll look like a perve if you do.

Being a virigin isn't a bad thing at all. A lot of teenagers are pressured to have sex by the people around them, like friends. It shows that you are growing up and being very mature. If you aren't ready, then you aren't ready. It's also a normal thing to think of having sex and a good thing that you respect women. :)
