Regarding the "united" answers- NOT! POLITICS: The past two presidential elections clearly showed almost a 50/50 split in who voted for each candidate. ECONOMICS: The poor keep getting poorer and the rich keep getting richer and the middle class is left to chance whether or not it will go one way or another. NATIONAL FINANCE: The country is broke! Look at our debt- $8.5 trillion and rising. The cost of the war in Iraq alone has almost hit $300 billion. EDUCATION: We spend more on our prisons than we do on our own schools. Enought said. IMMIGRATION/NATIONALISM: The debate is deep, but let's face it: How can we be united with the world if we can't even be united with each other? And yes, we do need to be a world united or else the human condition will never leave the cycles of hate, division, greed, and fear.
