I am curious to hear about fellow managers out there. What management style do you use to manage your teams, etc?

Play to your own strengths and those of your Team.
Don't put reigns on natural ability, but guide it in the direction that benefits you all.
A team working in harmony can achieve far more.
Give praise where due, and don't hog the limelight.
Use carrot and stick but don't hit them with both!

Management STYLE? How 'bout be yourself and treat everyone fairly?
You will get plenty of answers recommending text books, but if you are man-managing you have probably got a few friends and enemies. Draw lessons from everyday life!

My style is heavy on leadership and cooperation to create a stimulating and sucessful enviornment. I like to show my team members how each of them and our work as a team fits into the bg picture. I also encourage people to use the empowerment they are given to think critical of our operation or procedures and try to improve them.

try mcgregors motivation theory x and theory y! that should give you a hint! they are polar opposites but you should check them out for management styles lol i suppose it all depends on how bossy you are??
