I have a friend with a hotel that would like to offer a package holiday as a luxury prize, but he and I are not too sure who we should appraoch initially.

Make sure you think about the market segment your hotel is trying to reach and pick a game show that has that type of audience. While any publicity is good publicity you should alway focus your marketing message to the appropriate market. I work in the Hotel industry, if you need more ideas or have more questions contact me.

The sponsors choose the prizes by being the sponsors. You'd be better off donating the package to a charity raffle.

sponsors. i dunno how you would contact producers of a show, maybe find their website, but you have to offer the prizes to them. otherwise, they wouldn't know what would be available.
