Geez. Tough questiion. Well..I guess I think that many of us think in terms of.."if only"...Sort of like..if we'd made other choices. I'm all grown up...child of a Mom and Dad that had this wierd love/hate thing going on..blah, blah, blah. I survived..loved them both for their own special qualities..It's simply life. One time I was in this class and the professor asked everybody to raise their hands who came from a "functional" family..40 students...only 2 raised thier hands...Life...reality.

I know I should have never got married - finally did at 34 yrs old and now in late 40s...just like being alone too much...still married, but hope to separate next year when I finally have enough money in place...don't hate my husband, but we'd be better parted. On one hand, I feel badly for my husband, (and a good thing there are no children) but at least I've tried it this long. Will never get involved with anyone again, ever...just too independent, and somewhat of a 'loner'...

Yeah. I did that too. I put too much into getting married and raising a family without thinking about what I wanted, but it's not always all about me. I think the best we can do is to find a way to get what we want out of life while being dedicated to our family and responsibilites.

Two choices:
Single and lonely or
Married and bored
The grass will look greener on the other side no matter which side of the fence you're on. She may have chosen the career and regretted not having a husband and family.

I Love my wife and I don't wish I had not been married because we are happy together and I love my kids but if something happened to her (God forbid) I would not remarry. I think I would be happier single.
My reasons are different from your daughters though because I am bisexual.

She wants freedom! She shouldn't get married in the 1st place if so. She should be glad that she found someone who is willing to spend the rest of his life with her... not everyone as lucky as her tho.
I'm waiting for that day to come by, patiently. :)

We all feel at times we should have done things differently. You have to search your heart and decide if your going to stay in the situation your in or get brave and make a change.

Just live your life, don't rush it. You could do so many things in life before making those kind of comitments.
