Children usually make up imaginary friends because they are bored, lonely or simply have no friends of their own. Here is something I found online in the wilkipedia.
"Often times children will dismiss the imaginary freind once they find real ones or become old enough to realise that their freind is fictional. Parents shouldn't be worried about their children having an imaginary freind, as it often helps a child realise the difference between real and fantasy, as well as give them some form of self-esteem." Check out the site to read more but I wouldn't be too worried unless it goes on for a long time.

He is only two. It is ok for a two year old to have an imaginary friend as long as he knows his friend is imaginary. having an imaginary friend is similar to playing with dolls or stuffed animals and pretending that they are real or that they can talk. Children can do that. It's perfectly fine. If you are truly concerned you should try and find him some children in the neighborhood to play with.

Having an imasginary friend is very normal, especially is hes an only child. Dont worry about it, hell grow of it when he gets older. You should try to get him into some social places where he can play with other kids his age, so his social skills can start to develop.

It sounds like your child is bored. But, I would not worry about an "imaginary friend". They are harmless and they always take their shoes off before coming into the house!

I don't see this as much different from a child with a stuffed animal that he talks to, "feeds", takes everywhere and attributes personality traits to. If he were 6, I would say he should have outgrown it. It Will help him practice vocabulary on someone who won't correct him and allow creative play that wouldn't work alone.

His friends are nature spirits, Avalon and Sephir, you will notice the green lights some 3 feet close to him when he talks or seem distressed. He will have a few troubles and accidents, nothing bad, because he sees things happen, just like his older sister, they use telepathy and so you, I heard you commenting on my response to your brother Matt. Bye.

Yes many children at that age and even older have them. If they keep them when they get to say 7 or so then there might be a problem.

I believe it's fine! He's 2. Play along with it. He should grow out of it after a while though. It won't last forever. Don't worry.
