I just asked the same question and my answer is yes. I haven't missed more than 2 launches since Alan Shepard made his sub-orbital flight. It bothers me that so many people now are just not interested or think it is just a normal thing, like a commercial jet flight. As we've seen with the two shuttle disasters, this is no common event.

I have always followed the Space Program with great interest (thank you Ray Bradbury) and admiration for those who are brave enough to go into space. I firmly believe that Mr. Stephen Hawking was correct (even if he was a bit out of his field) that the human race will only survive by going into space. I am happy the shuttle was safely launched and I wish the astronauts luck in their endeavors.

I have the news on right now waiting for it to launch. I think the shuttle program is ancient history and needs to be grounded, but as long as they have the capability to continue missions, I have no problem with it. Space exploration is one of the most ambitious and exciting adventures that the human race has ever embarked upon. We need to prioritize the new shuttle design as soon as possible.

I kind of care. It sucks that it's the last mission. It sucks that we don't spend all our billions of dollars to do incredibly cool things to explore space and other planets. There's all that space out there and all those galaxies and possibly extraterrestrial life. I hope the shuttle doesn't blow up.

No, I quit paying attention to this kind of stuff after Challenger. I'm always afraid something bad is going to happen.

Of course I care.

Everyone that complains about their cost, you should check how much NASA ACTUALLY spends in comparison to what we waste on say, Hurricane Fraud or welfare.
