yes. you could actually assemble a 'baked bean militia' made up of the younger, stronger men in the family. if unkie tries to access the baked bean area, the men could employ a variety of tactics to dissuade, cajole or otherwise steer him away from the beans-in-question. not limited to those measures, it may come down to physical force, so be prepared for everything. when a man wants beans, he can really be tenacious. be careful, and happy fourth.

No, just slip a few "Beano" pills into his plate. Crush them up to hide them, and mix the resultant powder in with his portion.
Better yet, just mix them in with the whole pot of beans...doubtless there are more gaseous folks than just old uncle Henry.

Yeah, beano.......I forgot about that stuff. I was ready to suggest those little gas masks, but the beano or even gas-x may be the way to go. Or ask uncle Henry to skip the baked beans. hehehe......dont strike any matches or use a lighter around ole uncle Henry........(smile)

uhhyesss, well, i find that i become most gaseous after eating pizza, not really the baked beans.
When Henry seems to be looking over the beans, fake a sneeze on it or something. uhh.... or you can cut a hole in his plate...... yeah

Why not put a pack of Beano next to the dish of beans? I think all your guests will appreciate the wit, and the practicality. It can be a joke--"Oh, did you get your Beano with that?"

Try serving him yourself but add the "Beano" when he is not looking. He'll think he is getting special treatment and your company can have a fresh outdoor lunch.
