no it do not have any effects on your ovulation,as long as you are in good health you will start ovulation on the 14th day of your period.7 days bleeding is normal, most women have 7 days just that we call the last two days spotting.as you get older your days will change.but if you donot want to have a baby be very careful, because you will never be able to tell when you are safe.

I bleed 7 days as well but still have a 28 day cycle. Well at least when things are normal-which isn't very often since I'm reaching menopause. Each woman is unique but I would think you're going to ovulate around 2 weeks after your period.

When I was younger, I used to menstruate for 7 days average and sometimes even 9-10 days. Now, I'm 31 years old and I menstruate for an average of 3-5 days. Although, like you, I also have a longer cycle of 30-35 days. I am pretty fertile. I have been pregnant 5 times and participated in donated my eggs 4 times...and I still have some to spare...lol! Best wishes and take care.

That's normal. Cycles vary for every woman. They can also vary from month to month. Ovulation doesn't always occur on an exact day, like # 14. It can be off a few days. You can look up websites by typing in "menstruation."

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with you. Every woman's body is different. Some bleed for 2 days and others for 10. It's nothing to worry about. As long as you're not experiencing any pain that exceeds your normal cramping and such and as long as you don't notice any changes in your flow (ex. your flowing heavier than normal or there are strange colors in there) then you are ok!
Sometimes stress can cause your period to do strange things, so try not to worry about it! You're just fine!

We are all slighty different and your longer cycle is normal. Since I went off b/c I am having 45 days between cycles and 5 days "on". But I started tracking my cycles and now I am not so worried. I use this website
www.mymonthlycycles.com
It helps alot!!!
