If you don't like it, you don't have to live here.
You live here because you choose to.
I hear Jamaca is really nice..you might want to try to leave....and soon if you get around a bunch of proud Americans, not "born agains or republicans".
I know I'd help kick your a ss.

Well, I guess that from reading a bunch of the responses here that people SAY they believe in a free country but when they think that a pledge like this is actually feasible as a national pledge, they don't truly believe in a free country. They believe in a country filled with people who feel exactly as they do or else you can get the f*ck out. Doesn't sound too free to me.

Honestly, I think these people read certain key words like 'republican' and 'jesus' and didn't really read the whole thing.

By the way, where is Jamaca????

So are you asking if I can memorize something?
Yes, I can memorize.

Or do you want to know if I agree?
Not particularly.
I acknowledge that the Republican party seems to be a little more powerful at this time.

I also acknowledge the spiritual (mostly Christian) agenda of the Republican party, as well.

I also acknowledge that this nation was founded by Christians on Christian beliefs and ethics.

In addition, I acknowledge that there is no one forcing anyone to stay in this country. As long as you can get a passport, you are free to leave if you don't like it here. Another option available to those who don't like the way this country is run- lobby for a law to be passed that will prohibit or supress expression of opinion.

I also acknowledge the value of the 1st Amendment which gives everyone- Christian and non-Christian alike, the freedom to worship as they see fit, express their opinions- printed or spoken, meet together peacefully, and to get justice through the courts of our government.

I move that the freedom of speach and of the press (freedom to express our opinons printed or spoken) be extended to include the voting booth.

I'm sad to see so many people offended when those who believe in something choose to live it and voice their opinions, as provided for in the 1st amendment.

Before you call America an oligarcy... you may want to check your demographic information- percentages of Christians, "born-agains", other religious groups.

You are correct that the United States has turned in to an oligarchy, but it is not a Christian theocracy, it is a plutocracy. Plutocracy is rule by the rich, whereas theocracy is rule by a religion. I just don't think that if we were a theocracy that there would be abortions on demand or homosexuality evident everywhere.

However, when considering the current distribution of our wealth, it is obvious that the wealthy have they most say in our policies.

I think we should present that to Congress as the NEW pledge of allegiance! You are SO right.

Pretty soon we're going to be changing the name of our great nation to the "United Hicks of Jesusland."

If you are an American, I would be glad to buy you a one-way ticket to any place you want to go, as long as you agree to never step foot on American soil again.

Do you think you could do that wise guy?
