Although I do hope that the US remains the most powerful country in the world, I am not overly pleased with the direction the government is heading. The country having the greatest potential of being the most powerful county is China because of their size, their population, their geographical position, their technological and skill advances over the last thirty years and most importantly, their ability to work together as opposed to against one another. It seems that the US has lost its ability for all sides to compromise with one another and work together- this alone may result in the weakening of the US as a world power.

That is a tough one. China and India are the biggest contenders. But China has a water problem, and India has a real AIDS problem. If I was going to bet, I would go with India.
Large, well educated population, and a government suited to utilize it. Brazil would be another contender, but I don't think they will gather their crap together by then. Of course it could still be the US, if we survive the current idiot in office, and don't elect a worse one next.

hae john leave thinking LIKE THIS MAN, power of a country is not determined by its wealth, army or anything. According to me i wish all countries and its peoples to be peaceful.PEACE IS THE TRUE POWER. but nowadays army shows the power of a nation.
