I understand why President Bush sent in there although I don't really think he had concrete evidence to pursue a war. I'm not really aware of all the political ramifications of his reasoning, but it is very heartbreaking to see what's happening to out G.I.'s and innocent iragi citizens.

Well after World War II and Korea we still have troops there today so we could be in Iraq for a long time.

I think that the Iraq war will (technically, semantically) end some day, but it won't be happy and peaceful as you've grown up to think of those words and what they mean. The government will assist you in not having a guilty conscious however. Government, any government really, is very good at coming up with descriptions and spins, that in the case of Iraq anyway, if you don't think too deeply about it, you'll probably come away believing that Iraq turned into a model democratic society and they just have a small violent crime problem to overcome, but it's not all that sigificant and the Iraq Highway Patrol can handle it.

I see no good end for ANY of the Mideast conflicts.They've been fighting each other for 6000 years--how arrogant of us to think we can create peace!
