You're a patient woman for staying with him. I'm a high school career counselor and I get similar excuses from my students. And he has not been cursed. However, not being able to keep a job more then a month is a SERIOUS problem. But most employers don't terminate an employee unless they have a have a legit reason ... some reasons are: being consistently late for work, inability to do the work (not having the necessary skills), poor customer service skills, doesn't get along with fellow employees, doesn't get along with supervisor (s). I think you get the point.
Of course being out of work for nearly 3 years sounds like he's given up and is probably very frustrated. Those who are in a similar situation tend to feel sorry for themselves and get on a "pity pot". I've done that myself so I understand.
I'd like to help but I need to know what type of work he likes to do. I'd also be willing to help him write a resume. But I would do this with one condition: your boyfriend has to be willing to stay employed at least 90 days.

Usually if a person is let go from a job for "no reason" that is cause for a lawsuit. Most companies do have a reason. If this is happening repeatedly, perhaps your boyfriend should look into things that would make a company want to get rid of him. Is it his personality, his hygiene, his lack of motivation or a disinterest in the job? Is he disrespectful, or does he talk bad about other companies he has worked for? If he is able to go through an interview and impress the interviewer, then he should be intelligent enough to hold on to the job, IF he really wants to work. The fact that you are writing about his problem instead of him is something you need to think about. Are you one that constantly makes excuses for his shortcomings? Is he mature enough to look for a solution to his own problems. Good luck to both of you, but please look at the whole picture, and not just the fact that he is unable to keep a job.

he has been fired for some reason, I'll bet hes got a crappy attitude, dose not do what and how he is told to to the job. I'll also bet that he Really dose not want to work. Sounds like a freeloader and life time welfare case!

Dump his sorry butt, and find a REAL man!

If , you're unhappy ,then break up with him. I told mine the minute he "Chose" not to be motivated is when I left. I have tried with him, and didn't want to be begging hi to get a job. Now he's working more than me, getting up early , going to bed earlier. I just want to curl up to him, and smudge him...lol but anyway my ex now has a job and I don't have to yell at him. Sweety , if being with u is a priority he will change!!!

Your boyfriend is being fired for a reason. It's not a curse - he's not being a good employee.

YOU are enabling his behavior by going alone with that asinine reasoning, WE do not have to.

Do you re-issue this question or seek assistance from us until you are able to see your b/f for what he is.
