From which team does the best midfielder come from. Why do you think he/she's so good and what did he/she ever do to be called the best in the world?

Apparently it should be Ronaldinho - voted the best player in the world by FIFA last year. He is a midfielder in Brazilian team, but plays as a striker in Barcelona.
Frank Lampard, voted second best player in the world by FIFA plays in the midfield both in the national team and in Chelsea so I guess he is the best in the world!
