the only reason i can think of to wait that long is if you were having like the biggest wedding ever and you had to build a house for it or something like that. Or if u were in college and wanted a degree or something

well it is a long time but then again in that space of time you could get to know each other more closely to how you could be when you both will be married, so it has advantages but then again it is a long time. but you couold always bring the date of the marriage forward if your sure and both feel comfortable. all the best of luck ^ ^
