I have had loads of scans and things.This has been going on for over 12months and I am still in pain even though I take very strong presciption painkillers.Is there anything I could be doing to help myself.

yes the pain in your back will eventually get better, it all depends on how long ago the fracture was. i had a fractured vertebrae 9 months ago, and although i still get a stiff back and the odd pain when i bend over, or try to lift something heavy, on the whole its almost back to normal. it all depends on age, weight ect as to how quickly you will make a full recovery.
the the old saying time is a great healer im afraid, but can be helped along with good pain killers and i found a hot water bottle helped loads!! swimming is also good excersice to do because its weightless and will help mend. but maybe if its that bad you need to look at alternative therapy.
