I am assuming you meant Pendent. Just check out wikipedia, it is probably the best way to find an easy solution.

First, you have probably misspelled the term "pendant".
Here is some info from the Graph Theory Glossary:
"pendant
A vertex of degree one (with only one edge connected) is a pendant edge."
"Informally, a graph is a finite set of dots called vertices (or nodes) connected by links called edges (or arcs). ..."
