its just a virus/adware. when you go to ebay.com, its programmed to take you to a different site first, for whatever twisted reason they decided. no, nobody can access your ebay account because of that. it just means you need to clean your system.
Microsoft is a "popular" operating system, verses something like Mac OSX or Unix/linux, etc. i wont say the best, but it's very popular. in an effort to keep their popularity, they started providing things like Windows Firewall, Windows Defender,.....etc. dont rely on them to keep your computer safe. they might do a good job, but that isn't their number 1 priority, protecting your pc. my suggestion, if you dont have a good anti-virus program, get AVG free edition from Grisoft. the free edition is so good its almost not worth paying for the full edition, and it doesn't expire. the website is:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5
and whatever you do, don't pick Norton. it's expensive, it's not very user-friendly, it sucks up a lot of your computer resources, and doesn't work very well for all the hassle it causes you.
now, for an anti-spyware program, ad-aware is really good. they have a free version also,
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
another really good software is ZoneAlarm Firewall. it has a firewall, spyware security, and ad-ware security all in one. it does NOT have virus protection, so you still need something like AVG. downside is, they have a subscrisption thingy that is really hard to get around, although i think they do have a free one-month trial download. that is one of the few i know of that is worth paying for if you can't get it some other way.
at the very least, i would get the AVG free and the Ad-Aware, that way you have one anti-virus and one anti-spyware/adware. if you run both of those, that should clean out whatever is affecting your computer

You have spyware.
You should have Windows Defender. It is free from Microsoft and watches your system prevents programs from taking over your home page etc.
Go here to read about and get it - http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security...
