If you're still having symptoms, it would be advisable to go to your doctor--many other infections of the vagina can be confused with yeast infections, and you'll need different medication in that case (such as antibiotics.)
You could try a 7-day OTC cream and see if that works if you don't want to visit your doctor, but again, it's always advisable to see a doctor because it might not be a yeast infection.

It depends on whether or not you really have yeast, and there are a couple of different otc drugs as well. One may work better than the other. I prefer to go to the doc and get the pill that cures yeast. A lot less hassle.
You might also have a bacterial vaginitis so if you're not getting better you probably should see a doc.
You could try the one of the formulas with the other drug in it. Though quite frankly, $20 for the pill is only a few bucks more than the OTC creams.
Good luck with that.

Wait a week and see if you still have the symptoms. There are other OTC treatments with different active ingredients. You can try those. Try the Diflucan, it can work like a charm. You can also check www.webmd.com. There are yeast infections that are not cured by the OTC treatments or by Diflucan. That's why it says "cures MOST yeast infections". Good luck!

You aren't going to make much progress going the mainstream route. Go to a health food store and pick up an antifungal like grapeseed extract......works better than diflucane, without killing your liver. Also, you must replace the good bacteria that antibiotics probably robbed from you years ago. Take a broad spectrum probiotic to keep the yeast out permanently!

The medications you mentioned are good enough, but I suggest you try FLAGYL(metronidazole) suppositories, since the others did not work for you and you may not have yeast but BV. I think they are a bit more costly, but highly effective. Just follow the instructions for how long you should be on the therapy. Probably a week.

Try eating plain yogurt. It may take a week with the monostat.
I get them with antibiotics and always take difucan.
The last time , doctor would not give me a prescription so after a friends advice I ate the yogurt and it worked.
I also drank the dannon culture, I think it is called and I did not get the infection.

Always be sure to read instructions carefully. Follow them by the book. It can take up to 7 days for complete relief. Dont have sex, and insert at bed time. Wear cotton panties. Yeast loves wet and moist areas. They do work, even generic ones. Just have to read and follow instructions.
