All the while that the Jewish lobby in Washington is as strong as it is, and all the while that anyone who speaks against the Israeli state is branded anti-semitic the USA will always side with Israel and their illegal land-grab.

First of all, it is a function of intelligence and a willingness to keep up with current events. Looking at US voter turnout as a guide, I would say that number is around 10% of the population or 30 million people. Before 9/11 about half of those people might have cared for struggles for liberation in Palestine or in Africa. After 9/11, you might be hard pressed to find people who appreciate those struggles as underscored by the lack of attention in the press here in the United States.

The fourth of july is not our Liberation Day.
It is our Independance Day.
The Palestinians are not trying to Liberate themselves from Israeli control. They are not trying to Liberate themselves from being under the rule of a terrorist government. They actually support their terrorist government. They are trying to regain lands that they claim are theirs, even though it isn't. They have been driven out of most countries in the middle east, most recently Jordan and Egypt.
They have entered into many peace treaties and and cease fires over the last few decades and have broken everyone of them. They are the root of all middle eastern radical terrorist groups.
Why should we support them in their bloody quest to rid the world of the jewish people?
Long live the Jewish people!!!!!!!!!

You have to remember society is based upon gaining a form of liberation of a social caste. Some American (a small percentile) take their freedom for granted. Liberation does mean freedom but to an extent. No one is actually free. If we were free, there would be no rules. Anarchy and choas would be prevalent. Liberation is a vague word. I would say we were blessed with freedom of choice.

I do sympathise with the situation that Palestinians find themselves in. I think that Israel and its allies have a lot to answer for. But I do not sympathise with those who twist a beautiful religion to recruit naive and vulnerable people to commit murder and suicide (both of which are unislamic) against innocent civilians in the name of Islam. These people are not truely religious and only further hurt the justified cause of the Palestinian people. Anyone that calls themself a Jew or a Muslim are essentially religious people. God-fearing religious people do not go out of their way to cause pain and suffering to their neighbours. Only the arrogant (on both sides) are convinced of their pious knowledge and think that they are 100% right while ordinary people are suffering needlessly.

We side with Israel, because Israel is our ally in the middle east, which is full of people that want to cut our heads off. We didn't become liberated by strapping bombs on children and blowing up innocent people in the streets of London. So to hell with palestine.

i agree the palestians are being constantly and egregiously threatened and controlled by the outside ,,but they have a history of terror ,,and like the israelis having lost their homelands and farms and so they turned as the irish did and others to secret resistance groups like the mafia in italy that fought the invaders and the folks that stole their lands and made them refugees and servants to the ones that took their land
