what did Barbar Walters say to her?

In a nutshell, Star wasn't fired. She had known for awhile that ABC wasn't going to renew her contract.
Supposedly, Barbara Walters and ABC wanted to let Star leave in a dignified manner. But Star decided to make the announcement two days earler than originally planned due to the tabloids and press speculation.
Barbara got mad about Star doing that and declared she would not be coming back at all. Star and Barbara both vented in the media and Barbara said that the only episodes Star would be seen in were those which had been pre-recorded.
Rosie was hired the same week that she had dissed Star in the press about her weight loss (supposedly gastric bypass surgery).
Star later said she probably should have let the viewers join her on her road to good health. Personally tho, I don't think we need to know everything about a celebrity. Star wished to keep it private. She had nothing to apologize for or regret.

Her ratings have been going down because of how she behaved when she was getting married and asking companies to give her free stuff for her wedding in return for a plug on The View. Not cool. Then she started losing weight and Rose O'Donnell basted her in her blog because Starr would not reveal how she was losing weight even though it was incredibly obvious she had gastric bypass. But all she would say was it was from yoga and eating properly. Then when Rose O'Donnell was hired, Starr had a fit because of how Rosie had been saying all these bad things about her and felt it was a slap in her face when Rosie was hired. As a result, Starr's contract was not renewed, which is another way of saying she was fired. They told her nothing would be made public and she could come up with whatever she wanted to tell the public in order for her to save face. So, instead, she goes public and says she was fired and was going to leave in July even though her contract wasn't up until September. She never told anyone she was going to say this on The View so they found out when everyone else did. Afterwards, Barbara Walters found out what she had told People magazine and announced on The View the next day that Starr would not be coming back and she felt that Starr betrayed her by not sticking with the original plan of her exiting gracefully.

She wasn't fired; Rosie Odonnel is taking Meredith's place on the show and Rosie dislikes to the max Ms. Jones; so Ms. Jones opted to resign her position before Rosie came onto the show. Ms. Barbara Walters didn't exactly like what Starr had to say, so she made a big public fool of herself rather than letting Starr leave and save face at the same time.

Puppy Love had the most compassionate and substantial answer. Everybody else, so far, was disgusting! By the way, she didn't have to reveal anything that was personal to her if she chose not to. Obviously, she chose not to.
I wish her well elsewhere. She correctly said, "I don't know what the future holds, but I do know WHO holds the future." Amen!
By the way, if it were someone else instead of Star...let's say, Rosie O'Donnell or Roseanne Barr or Carnie Wilson (Yes,u know where I'm going w/ this) who did the same exact thing(s), would u other responders be as nasty? I doubt it. As Michael Baesden (KISS 98.7 NY) says, "I said it; yes I said it; yes I did!".

I think everyone just got sick and tired of her. I've never watched the view because of Starr. She's a maggot that thinks she's better than everyone else. I'm glad she's gone.

Because she's sort of a b*tch, and B. Walters hired Rosie O' Donnell (another b*tch)... so I guess you can only have 1 big b*tch in the show. I guess they're trying out for a lesbian b*tch this time...

when she got married she came back and acted like she was the best and when one of the other people asked her how she lost weight she wouldnt reveal the way she lost weight
BARBRA ASKED HER HOW SHE LOST HER WEIGHT AND STAR WOULD NOT TELL ANYONE WHICH SPARKED THE RUMOR SHE HAS MEDICAL INTERVENTION. SORRY BOUT THE BIG LETTERS HAD TO GET YOU ATTENTION

Because the ratings went down when fans turned against her lavish wedding and her super SELF (and I do mean super - have you seen her lately - wow!).

I'm not sure but she scares me. I didn't even like her when she did the Payless Shoe Source commercials.
