Healthy, natural weight loss is the same for men and women - of al ages. In America, we tend to eat more refined sugar and carbs than other cultural diets.
Get rid of the sugar and simple carbs from your diet. The first phase of South Beach Diet (and other similar diets) is very helpful to help reform your eating habits into something you can live with for a long time - and you don't go hungry all day, either.
Next, you have to incorporate regular, reasonable exercise into you WEEKLY routine. Exercise doesn't work as a "binge" activity - only when you feel fat.
Something as simple as going for a walk every night, or riding a bike for 30 minutes each day is a great start. If you start riding a bike, try and go away from your house for 30 minutes, then turn around. Don't have to go fast. You've just ridden for an hour, and if you do that every other day that may be all you need to lose a couple of dress sizes very quickly.
Hope that helps. As far as support from your fiance, try to build the mental self-discipline that you're doing this FOR YOU. Not for him. Yes, he'll enjoy the benefits. But this is for YOU.

It sounds like you are doing all the right things. You should be able to drop the weight as long as you are counting your calorie intake and how many calories you burn when you work out. Your body naturally burns up to 2,000 calories per day. Since you are petite, I'm assuming you might burn less, maybe around 1,800. If you add that to the number of calories you burn from your workout, you should calculate eating about 300 calories less than that number. Losing weight is a balancing act. Level your intake and output to maintain you weight, or lower your intake and heighten your output to lose weight. Try going to www.mypyramid.gov and find out how much of each food group you should be eating per day so that you don't lost any nutritional value from your diet. I hope this helps... if you have any questions let me know!

If you're not into MASSIVE exercise, just go get yourself a pedometer, and walk. Walk during lunch, maybe in the evening, with a big heavy flashlight (just in case). Start out slowly, and build up from there.
Drink water, try to reduce soda (or pop) drinks. High in sugar.
When eating, no seconds... and if you feel satisified, regardless of what your mother taught you, it's OK to leave food on the plate!
Eat until you're satisified.
Good luck!

I found just cutting back on portion size (even if I dont necessarily always eat the right things) and trying to walk a little more in the day helps a lot. If you have more time to exercise, thats a great way too! Good Luck!

Weight watchers... I lost 10 pounds(in 1 month) only by eating foods that fit in with their diet plan. Keep track of how much you eat and what the points add up to. Good luck!

Drink lots of water throughout the day. Water helps to curb your appetite by filling your stomach and helping your body to digest food better. If you do not like the taste of plain water all of the time, there are some flavored waters.
