No, the lottery is basically a tax on people who are bad at math - since the odds of winning are so ridiculous. This country needs to go back to taxing the rich properly. An idea that gets a lot of bad press, and why not, the rich control the press. But its purely rational - the rich are the ones who get the most out of our society and government and they should be the ones who put the most in.

Maybe, but the best way to pay off the debt is to redo the tax and government system we have in this country. For me to give you a dollar, I have to work long enough to earn a dollar. For the government to give you a dollar they need to be give 2 dollars since most government agencies are a minimum of 50% inefficient, and to be given 2 dollars by the IRS the IRS has to take 4 dollars from me, IRS has several time stated that they are now 50% inefficient up from their previous level of 60%.So for most things the government funds they need 2 to 4 times the cost, which is a big part of why we're so indebted.

Don't know what you are talking about but it sounds like a bad idea. Why the hell should the people have to bail out the government? If I spend all my money, go into debt and spend some more, should the government come bail me out?
