I need a brief history of the USA urgently, and am looking basically for a list of all USA aggression begining preferably with the massacre of Red Indians and taking of their land, going through the centuries to the present (illegal) war in Iraq.

I have searched the web but can't find anything clear and basic. Can anyone help me?

Ok first your reference to "red indians" is not politically correct. Native Americans is the correct term you're looking for. If you would have written that in your report you would have gotten a good scold from the teacher. A run down of all US agression:

-Pequot War (1637)
-King Philip's War (1675)
-French and Indian War (1754-1763)
-American Revolution (1775-1783)
-Northwest Indian War (1792)
-Quasi-War (1798-1801)
-Barbary Wars (1801)
-Tecumseh's War (1814)
-Creek War (1814)
-Peoria War (1814)
-War of 1812 (1812-1814)
-Seminole Wars (1815-1818)
-Black Hawk War (1815-1818)
-Mexican-American War (1846)
-Utah War (1846)
-American Civil War (1861-1865)
-Spanish-American War (1898)
-Philppine-American War (1899-1913)
-Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901)
-Indian Wars (1865-1890)
-Banana Wars (1989-1935)
-First World War (1917-1918)
-Polar Bear Expedition (1918-1919)
-Second World War (1941-1945)
-Cold War (1945-1991)
-Korean War (1950-1953)
-Bay of Pigs Invasion (1961)
-Operation Power Pack (1965)
-Vietnam War (1957-1975)
-Terhan Hostage Rescue (1980)
-Grenada (1983)
-Beirut (1983)
-Panama (1989)
-Persian Gulf War (1990-1991)
-Somalia (1992-1993)
-Yugoslavia (1999)
-War on Terrorism (2001-present)
-Iraq War (2003-Present)
-Border Operation (2006)

That's a total run down of all US agression since it's beginning history.

Colonised by French, Dutch, English etc. Kill Red Indians. English take controll. Americans rebell for some wholly unconvincing and arrogant reasons, setting a trend to this day for arrogance. Gain independance. For some reason the south decides it doesn't like the North ruling over it any more, and decides to split. Lincoln decides this would reduce the power of the USA and a bloody civil war ensues. Insert peiod of economic groth and prosperity here. Come late to both world wars. Get beaten in Vietnam. Go to war wih Afganistan and Iraq.

Yes, we Americans killed the Indians, however, we did not start WWI OR WW2. We bailed Europe out of both wars with the bodies of our young men Who comes asking for help when there's a crisis in the world? Who gives money and medicine and food when there's a natural catastrophe? I am sick of America bashing!!
If you hate America, then leave us alone. I think we were happier when we were isolationists, then we wouldn't have to listen to your ignorant drivel!
By the way ,if you are an American, leave. If you're not, don't come and visit, WE DON'T WANT YOU!!!

Sad that you are just looking for a list. Try reading Bury my Heart at wounded Knee; then Shelby Foote's trilogy on the American Civil war; sadly they are not too brief but bloody enough to make you sad.

Born of bloodshed in the Revolutionary War, the USA declared independence on July 4, 1776. Internal struggles between the religions of Europe brought here on and after the Mayflower and the cultures of Native Americans already on this continent fostered prejudice and resentment that still exists. Involvement with the British motherland and it's sin of slavery and indentured servitude fueled a racial war that has ingrained itself into USA history leading up to the Civil War in which more blood was shed between members of the same household than in any other war in it's history. The Civil War changed the Constitution and laws that not only freed slaves but guaranteed voting rights to those born in the USA as well as to people of color and naturalized citizens from abroad. Freedom of Speech and worship, freedom to assemble and to bear arms and the right to remain silent became known. Further bloodshed guaranteed the success of "Women's Suffrage"- giving females the right to vote and later led to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. The Civil Rights Movement addressed the de facto segregation of the races in this land. In the interim between 1865, the end of the Civil War and the Spanish American War, troubles with Mexico and our southern borders rose and fell, but did not all disappear. Next, the Bloody Battles of World War 1 told Europe and the rest of the world that the USA was a world power to be feared. In World War 11, and the Korean War, we began to address border expansion, colonialization and human rights violations outside of our borders in response to a direct attack on our borders at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. At this nuclear display of power the entire world realized that nuclear war is not conducive to global human survival. Therefore, we went back to battling the enemy on a smaller scale, using tanks, hand-to-hand combat and political tactics to achieve our goals abroad in the Cold War, the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm and later, in the Iraqi War currently in progress. The bottom line here is the USA is a great nation to lead by example but is not able to "police the whole world". No nation can do that because bloodshed is no longer stopping the enemy. Political control, control of natural resources, alliances with other nations, and control of our own territories on our mainland as well as stricter immigration policies, including the deportation of known terrorists and their cohorts may be the only way to survive the "war on terrorism". I hope this gives you insight.

there became the revoluntionary conflict and civil conflict. the in straight forward words ones that come to recommendations that became contained in the states. besides the actual incontrovertible reality that the revoluntionary conflict became the start of our land. The civil conflict became bloody many perishedd and familes were divided. in the present day it may properly be demanding to assert who became the real winner. Slavery did pass so the slaves were let loose.

Howard Zinn's People's History of the United States. Makes me want to move to Canada, but an excellent, honest book.

The Indian lived across the whole of this land, until invaders, butchered and slaughtered them to say they discovered the land on which the Aboriginals lived. They rounded them up, place them on small plots of land, and call them Reservations. They said all men are created equal in the eyes of GOD, unless you were not WHITE. The end.

I suspect that you are having difficulty finding what you are seeking because it isn’t history but a political spin marketing a perspective that isn’t valid.

Does the United States have militant actions in its history? Certainly. Are such events and actions in the context implied in your question? No.

It may be that I have misinterpreted the intent of your question, if so, please elaborate on it and I may respond with what you are seeking.
