Obviously it is adobe CS2--which is what that pros use..but let me ask is it a photo or an animation which is the usual used for gif formats...and can be tricky as animations....???? Any photoshop or any other photo software should work..

Well Adobe Photoshop is the tool for photo edititng. so you can edit gif and other kind of images in it. If you want to try some free tools, then go for GIMP.

Adobe Imageready is the best program to use. it can retain the animation values for th .gif files if animation exists.

Macromedia fireworks version 4.... if you dont want it to be very sophsticated on editing gif... ^_^
