EQ isn't bolony, and there are now techniques of measuring it that do not rely on self report . IQ is an incredibly restricted concept of intelligence - i really dont think someones intelligence amounts to recognising pattern sequences and basic linguistic skills. As can be seen with conditions as austism, EQ is incredibly important in maintaining human interaction - what is the point of having the greatest IQ if you are unable to communicate your ideas or even your emotions??
SO I say EQ all the way....and intelligence needs to be redefined!!

IQ test comes first. EQ gets thrown out the window.
okay i just took an EQ test to figure out what it is and in my opinion its total bologna. exactly what i figured it would be.
okay that test is based on how someone else thinks you should be. which is stupid because not everyone is like that. some people feel deeper, some people love deeper and ...this test was obviosly made by someone who doesnt feel like that and thinks that the most emotionaly intelligent people are those who dont let anything get to them. but in my opinion the most emotionaly intelligent people are the deepest and those most in touch with their feelings.
So I wouldnt even accept the EQ test as being a real test. Its grading people on someones opinion of how they should be. ..you just cant measure someones emotional intelligence anyway, people are different and I think how I am is WAY better than the kind of person who would have been considored an emotional genious by that test.
The IQ test also isnt exactly a great test either. I only do good on that test beause i took a class on logic. that probably raised my score by 30 points. ...which suggests to me that it isnt a great test. but still, i think it comes closer to measuring your intelligence than the EQ test comes to measuring your emotional intelligence (if there even is such a thing).

E.Q. is a load of crap. IQ has an actual basis and logical concrete groundings. I would definitely choose IQ

I would say definitely EQ (although it certainly helps to have a solid IQ). Most studies conclude that the most successful business people are not necessarily the "smartest." However, those who generally do the best have high levels of emotional intelligence. The good news is that one's EQ can be improved.

Hardly anyone respectable believes in the EQ concept. It has hardly any scientific foundation to back it. It's a just a good concept to think about.

Alphabetically? E.Q.
If you're asking which is more important, they're both pretty much unimportant numbers. I.Q. has some legal uses, but other than that, both figures are very vague indicators.
