The two of them were never not friends it's just the supporters and fans who wanted that to happen.
Football fans tend to have a mob mentality and no amount of Ronaldo & Rooney saying otherwise will make the fans believe that it is over & done with.
The players themselves know that what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch it's the fans that don't

Wayne Rooney apparently doesnt hold a grudge, why should we? Ronaldo plays for Man U alongside Rooney so i'd assume Man U fans would want the best for their team irregardless of World cup selfishness. And in all fairness, Ronaldo is a good footballer.. In the world cup no one wants to lose and England players have been a little unfair too on occasion.. Besides, I may be completely wrong as i'm not a huge football fan, but I dont think it's possible for a mere player to influence a referee.. Is it? However, i'll conceed that wink at the end was a tad suspicious..

Well, first and foremost it is hard to say if Ronaldo actually intended for Rooney to go out. If he did, that is really bad on his part, but Wayne would have surely forgiven him. Not sure Wayne would forget it though.
As for the people, the people of Manchester would have mixed emotions going through their mind... Christiano is as improtant to the club as Wayne is... but the English on the whole wont forget it. Irrespective of whether Christiano had any wrong intentions or not, English fans will haunt him ... for some time atleast... probably until the next world cup...

Christiano is a cheating ****. I hope Rooney rips his head off. If not even, though I am a Geordie I hope every man utd fan joins together to kick him out of Old Trafford.

They have both already told the media that there is not bad feeling between them over this.
Anyway, I hardly think Alex Ferguson would put up with such amateur dramatics in his dressing rooms.

Hate is a very strong word. Football, only a game.
