I notice three types. The outright bossy that are type A and have to be very obvious and control and micro-manage everything and everyone... easy to spot. Then there are the ones that control the left-overs... odd stuff nobody else really cares about too much or at least not enough to cause a ruckus over... what brand of _______, which movie, restaurant, etc. Then there are my least favorite of all... the passive aggressors who act like they couldn't give a rat's a** about much of anything, but yet they've got all kinds of machinations going on to either swing the vote their way in the end or to get back at you if it doesn't. It could take you years to catch on to one of the poisonous types unless you're very very observant. A good one will have you convinced that they're the best friend you have in the world they entire time they're destroying you're world.

Controlling behavior is the controlling of others to satisfy the underlying void of personally not being in control of ones personal life, emotions,or other factors one perceives as unable to control. So the person compensates these anxiety provoking feelings by projecting control over others. This is only my theory and not based on any research. Have a great day.

Bossy, pushy, won't let you get a word in edge wise, shoots down all of your plans or ideas and uncompromising. If you are dealing with a man who is controlling I have three words for you. Dump him now. Peace.
