I was always healthy and donated a kidney to my Uncle. Now I'm always ill with something or other and to be honest, it gets me down....

have spoken to dr's and they say that it may be my immune system but they can't confirm it. Guess it's just my luck huh? (",)

Healthy kidneys filter the blood to remove waste products and remove excess fluid to balance fluid levels in the body. In addition to filtering the blood, the kidneys also help control blood pressure and produce hormones and chemicals which help production of red blood cells.

Therefore, while having one kidney instead of two wont necessarily make you ill, it does mean your body is having to work twice as hard to keep you well.

What I would suggest is that you do everything you can (if you aren't already) to detoxify your body to help your remaining kidney do its job. Eating well, avoiding smoking, alcohol and caffiene are all obvious examples.

Healthy kidneys need a complex mix of nutrients and it might be a good idea to get in touch with a homoepath or herbalist who can advise you what would most benefit you. I know that Milk Thistle can help, but its best to get professional advice.

Good luck.

Ask your doctor that question. If your other kidney is healthy , you should not be getting illness from that.
Maybe stress worring about it ?

Maybe it somehow affected your immune system, made it a bit weaker or something. You should talk to your doctor.
