I'd give them a bit more credit than that. They are the voice of blind nationalists, the American Jingo Party, corporate welfare moms (and dads), and bigots who noisily whine about some alleged political correctness enforcement squad yet are asomehow stil able to spew their hatred in print and on practically every television channel and radio station.
They are the voice of gerrymanderers, fearmongers, and bible-thumping hypocrites. They represent a pack of sad, scared reactionaries who are hell-bent on seeing our Bill of Rights start and end with the second amendment.
They speak for the self-appointed guardians who tell the public whether our criticism is "helping the terrorists" or "hurting the troops", and which laws the administration should be permitted break so that they may protect us from unseen enemies.
And the only reason the Democrats don't scare me just as much is that they haven't been nearly as effective in their attempts to do much of the same things.

Kennedy family gets a million plus (surely more this year) from their oil wells and pay only 15% tax, and oddly they oppose any new drilling that would reduce the cost/value of oil, Republicans favor means that would reduce the cost/value of oil and make gas/heating affordable again, so if the people want richer oil families not cheaper gas who should they vote for?

I'll have to back up Billy M and say that yes, they are THE voice in Big Business....though pretty much every government elected official is. Money = votes. Republicans are also the voice of ME-ME-ME egocentrism in this country. It is the voice that says "Screw everyone else as long as I can drive my Hummer and burn up all the gas I want! Wah! Cuz I said so!"

The RNC represents a majority of Americans. You may or may not agree with their politics, but so there.
I just wish Americans would stop listening to the rhetoric and really look at what the two parties have done. I think you would find that there really is little difference. They may preach conservative values or liberal tolerance, but ultimately, all any of them want is the job and power.
Before you pick a candidate for any job, look at their record and what they have done (not what they say), and choose the one whose record more closely matches your desires.
