Remembering how this nation came into being during the height of the American Revolution. It took a revolution to get rid of tyranny bring about freedom in this very land 230 years ago today. That's the one thing I enjoy about this holiday. Barbecue food and fireworks are the other things I enjoy about this holiday, too.

The military!! I enjoy the celebration of my freedom given to me by men and woman all over the world willing to die for my freedom! I always work on the 4th because I am not in the military and I feel I should contribute something. So I will spend today working and doing good deeds.

The patriotism of our country. For one night we all celebrate the freedom of the United States. For one night nobody hates each other, its just pure patriotism. That's what i love about the 4th of July. (not to mention the fireworks.)

having to stop and understand how we are blessed in the USA. Way far from perfect, we have enormous amounts of good people who want to do the right thing...It is sad that we are often portrayed as an agressor nation, money and material focused, and racist. Lots of room for improvement, for sure, but an incredible amount to be thankful for...Take a day, hang with friends and family. Drink some cheap beer, laugh, be good to each other!

I enjoy the restrictions our local government has put on "celebrating freedom". We are now allowed to buy "fireworks" from a handful of supercorporations and if we're caught violating the regulations and restrictions placed on us (without a vote) by our benenvolent, all knowing, government; we will be financially penalized or imprisoned...... GO USA!

Having the day off, getting to spend time with my family, watching fireworks, and remembering why it's Independence Day.
