If they are the old fashion site finished floors try scrubbing then coat of paste wax and a buffer will bring back the luster. Pre-finished floors are different, try some poly-urethane restorer.

there is a product call renu it. made by flecto Home Depot has it. If your floor is not gouged pitted or have any dark stains then you can use this product no sanding ... make sure you have the right measurements so you onow how much it will cost..

I think that sanding is fun! Especially the electric ones. They're awesome!! lol...good luck with your floor though

Try wiping them with Furniture polish or lemon oil. It will look better for a little while.

not if it's finished in polyuthrethane...test a small patch with some finish restorer otherwise.

have you ever tried using Paint Thinner ? but make sure you are familiar with it ... cuz mistakes with thinner is .... lets say pretty ugly sight
