sanath jayasuriya is a great opening batsman. he has been an all-rounder for sri lanka both known for his great batting abilities and his knack of taking wickets with his orthodox leg spinners.he opens the batting usually with the crease occupier marvan atapattu who is keen to keep his wicket throughout the innings to stabilize scoring while he usually puts sri lanka to a fast start in most of Sri lanka's matches in the past especially when they upset australia in the 1996 world cup. he is the only sri lankan to score more than 10000 runs in his one day career and 1 of five cricketers to achieve the feat. he is devastating in one dayers but his aggresive style of play have not served him well in tests. however, he still owns a 340 best score in tests and has the fastest century in tests.he also owns the fastest 50 (off 16 balls) in the one dayers and the fastest hundred in tests(off 48 balls).oftentimes, his batting prove to be the barometer if Sri lanka is going to lose the match or not.nevertheless, his aggresive strokes are a great entertainment for us.he's a fun and class-act to watch.

He is a type of batsman who will keep on going if he starts.
A good start is what he need and he takes care about all the remaining things.
Even if he doesn't perform in batting, he can also bowl godd line and length which troubles many batsmen.

Always a dangerous batsman. He is like a valcano. if he errupts the opponent bites the sand. He was always aggressive in his cricket whoever may be the bowler. Also with his spin bowling, he was a handy cricketer to be in team.
