Perhaps it is just a change you've never noticed, but your pupils do frequently change size, depending on the amount of light that's going into them. If you ever wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, after you turn on the lights, watch your eyes closely in the mirror. Your pupils will shrink noticeably.

It could mean many things.
Eyes Wide Open that means that you are aware of everything that is going on.
Eyes growing wider means that you are surprised, it also means a moment of understanding or comprehension. It can also mean growing wide because of fear and the understanding of the danger in a present situation.

Do you mean dialation. This happens when your eye pupils change sizes due to the amount of light needed. Your pupil 'shrinks' when less light is need and your pupil 'grows' when more light is needed.
