I've listened to this station and have heard them both praise and "pound" the present whitehouse regime. Yet some people call them liberal... is this because they tell the truth?
I've heard them tell both sides too many times to believe they're politically "bent".

People who tell the truth are often hated, as NPR is by some.

I think they dig deep and present a lot of information and let the listener make up their minds. When they speak of conservatives or liberals it is not as a pejorative for either side which is totally unlike that of Fox News or talk radio. NPR does its research and gets points of view from everybody. Sure, they may give someone or some group a longer period of time to tell their side of the story but it is done to present a compelling story that is informative and easy to listen to, not to present a political side or make a political point of view look irrelevant. . NPR treats its audience as smart people and does not talk as if the listenening public is full of idiots. Just watch CNN or things Katie Couric has been involved with and you see a huge difference, CNN treats its audience like they are stupid so they use short words. Katie Couric tries to come across as an everywoman. At NPR, they do not talk down to the audience and they do not dwell on banal topics.

Of course the NPR is liberal. Nowadays I find it hard to even listen to NPR, and I avoid it. CNN is liberal. Larry King is Liberal. Wolf Blitzer is liberal. Most of the media, hollywood, and the music industry is liberal. So whats new?

NPR presents BOTH sides of an issue... That makes them hated by people who only want one side of the story to be broadcast....

I don't know if that makes them Liberal or not.... but it makes them "Fair and Balanced" to use a phrase that has been abused by other press sources.

VERY liberal. This is why conservatives want to defund the NPR.
