I do, as well as the attitude of three of the penalty takers, Robinson didn't even try to stop any on Portugal's goals!!

With England the question is not who to blame but who not to blame!!

Well, have you ever played soccer as a goalkeeper? I guess not! I play soccer as a semi-pro and am a GK. On penalties, it's always the kicker who is expected to score. The goal-keeper isn't expected to stand a chance. If he saves (by luck/ right place at the right time) he's a hero; if he misses a save, no blame on him even if a save was possible; only the keeper will blame himself. No one else has a right to blame him. A penalty shot comes as a bullet (no exaggeration). It's real tough to stop them.
I once saved a shot straight at me, and almost broke my wrist. (My hand was in plaster for 6 days). The kicker is blamed for a missed penalty; the keeper never for a missed save!!
Some penalties are so great, the keeper stands no chance! Robinson just let 1 goal go in; not three (from a keepers perspective). The other two you are reffering to weren't savable.

You test a GK during a match; not during penalties. Robinson is a good keeper, though he lacks experience! But as time passes, he'll be great.

So, morons like you may blame Robinson (sorry about that), but a football player (especially GK) wouldn't blame him. Well, everyone has a right to their personal opinion and I respect yours, but again, its unfair to blame Robinson (or any GK, for that matter) if a team loses on penalties. The blame lies with the kickers and kickers alone.

Blame him for what exactly?? Not saving the penalties. 90% of penalties saves are for guessing the right way of the penalty or just a badly hit one(which three of Englands were) You can never really blame a goalkeeper for a defeat on penalties because he should of never been in that position in the first place.

Paul Robinson had no chance of saving any of Portugals scored penalties.

Why blame anybody? OK we weren't good enough when it came down to the penalties, but neither were Argentina or Brazil who had a better standard of team players then we did. We should be looking at the underlying problem instead of putting the blame on someone.
I believe the problem is we have too many foreign players in our country. How are we supposed to develop as a footballing country if all out 2 of our players in the premiership team are foreigners.

Because Paul Robinson had a fantastic tournament. He is a world class keeper and i would like to remind you that the odds are stacked against the goalkeeper on a penalty kick. It's down to luck for the keeper, they have about a 10% chance of saving it.

On a penalty kick, the only chance a goalkeeper has, is if the kicker make a mistake. Even if I tell the goalkeeper where I am going to kick it, if I kick it right, he has no chance. It is a fraction of a second. Nobody moves that fast.

PKs are a lot of guessing. Blame the team that did not perform the whole world cup,. the coach that did not give anything, the players that did not have enough heart., Rooney for simply being stupid and all the PK takers for choking as always.

Why does everyone have to look for someone to blame. In theory, if we were to blame anyone, it'd be everyone (if that makes sense). Football is a team game, therefore if one player makes a mistake then it is everyones fault. This may seem unfair but in the end, what is teamwork there for but to help out the fellow players.

OH MY GOD. I HAVE JUST MADE NO SENSE AT ALL.

its really hard for a goalie to stop a penalty kick. theyre fast, hard, and you really dont know which direction theyre going to go. the goalie pretty much has to guess which direction hes going to throw himself alot of times. ricardo was just better at reading the kickers, which makes him a better goalie than robinson.

but its not the goalie's fault that his team cant make a damn penalty kick or a single goal throughout the entire match.

Robinson did what he could but the Portuguese players were just too good for him but dont forget he saved one shot. Its mostly the players to blame cos they missed. But its over now, everyone should move on

England's was so disapointing this year! Granted Robinson has a lot to do with losing but it has to go through the entire team first. Even Beckham was screwing up. =[
