That's not the truth. Supporters of the Iraqi war believe our military is making a positive difference for the citizens there, as well as risking their own lives daily, so why would you make it harder on them by withdrawing support?
Informed people know it was not Iraq that attacked us, but compassionate and deep thinking people believe we are in a place that allows us to prevent those who did from doing it again, while ending a brutal dictatorship for those who have known nothing else.
It is also vitally neccessary for us to have allies in the middle east......
by bringing them democracy and ending dictatorship, we may be able to achieve something where we can live on this planet together in peace and harmony.
If the USA doesn't attempt to help brutalized people, who ever will?
Now, we are in the same area as our attackers - perhaps we can also help end the terrorism that has gone unchallenged for decades, if not centuries.
There are many ways to view a situation.......Things are not always as they appear.

They are sheep. No one realises that all of this warfare and funneling of public funds is simply related to the situation that arises when 5% of the populus elects a greedy, lying, idiot to the office of President.
We heard all these news stories about the atrocities that occured at Abu-grab prison..."Oh he's torturing those poor, poor [people]"
[people] = insurgents, including Al Qhida members.
We illegally removed from power a national leader who was an ally against some of the worst possible terror threats in the world. Does anyone remember when we funded the Iraq/Iran war???? Then Iraq was the good guys. When Saddam came to the CIA and asked if we would get mad if he invaded Kuwait, oh and by the way, he legally did that too, we said "No prob, its understandable, the Kuwait oil industry is drawing oil from your reserves, and since they are drawing way more than they agreed to in the treaty you guys signed, and since the UN won't tell them to stop and since we should be minding our own damn business, go ahead."
Duhn Duhn Duhhhh
Emperor Bush I stepped in put the smack about half way down. Then we had a momentary lapse in horrific foreign policy when Clinton was getting his tally-whacked...oh my goodness...who cares. After we see a budget surplus, lower gas prices than the previous 6 years, and good relationships with foreign powers that aren't ancestorally bent on world domination, we "elect" Emperor Bush II to take over where his daddy left off and now to only the most moronic citizen's suprise gas is double what it was during the Clinton administration. Someone should have thought, but maybe someone did, "If we elect a president who is an oil man, I wonder if I'll be paying more at the pump in the future?" Look what happened, we elected...and I'm sorry if you are one of those people who keep saying "He didn't win the election" then you are too stupid to realize that we have the power as the American people to make changes to any part of our government we want. How? Well the president isn't the only elected official, and the others whom we can put pressure on are going for career political positions and if we threaten congress, they will impeach his ***. Its high time that someone realizes, that aside from the actual High crimes and Misdemeanors that W has actually committed with the wire tapping and what not...don't get me started...defying the will of the people and making foreign policy decisions that directly cause you to profit will not be allowed for the President.

I never thought the War in Iraq was caused by the 9/11 attacks at all. It was never stated anywhere that I know of other than by uniformed people. The official beginning of the War on terror was the result of the attacks of 9/11.

Other than yourself I doubt if anyone believed Iraq attacked us. There is some speculation that Iraq supported Taliban. Maybe you need to be more informed before you start calling people stupid. I do not support war, but I also did not make the decision to go.-

I think it was a sly move of W to get where he was trying to go, or where his father never got to finish doin' his dirty work at. No Iraq didn't take part in 9/11 but to answer your question 95% of people I know who support the war don't actually support the war, they support the people who wanted to defend our country and are now second guessing it because of being stuck in a sand pit for over a year. yes those people chose to be in the military, but hey...if you or I don't...and they didn't well then what kind of mess do you suppose we'd be in now.

Ok LOOKS LIKE MR.TRUTH needs to be MR.Informed...
FYI no WMD's were found in Iraq... that was the first objective of the mission ...
second.. Mr. Bush is goin around in circles... first he says afghanistan ..then iraq..now iran... north korea.... if it were that he could another term.... why he would blow all of the middle east and south east asia to kingdom come....
Plus after all of this there are no WMD's ..and mr.BUSh himself admitted it on INTERNATIONAL television that it was an intelligence failure... (THAT COSTED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND MORE VALUABLE LIVES... both iraqi and american)
he still has to catch osama....
bush is just a dillusioned boy who is hell bent upon proving that HIS DADDY IS THE BEST
personally i believe that america is far too intelligent a nation to be represented by someone like bush

No they are all sane and sensible.
Vietnam was the first real sign of the anti-American, American phenomina.
You go to war on a wave of optimism. The mighty are going to smite the enemy, all gung ho. The moment it starts getting difficult it is suddenly wrong to go to war.
Will Americans line up on the streets to spit on and hurl abuse at the returningwounded troops like they did towards the end of the Vietnam war?
America does not need enemies to run it down. It has far too many Americans doing it!

It's not got anything to do with 9/11. It has to do with the war on terror. The U.S. said they believed that Saddam still had WMD. (I still think the UN stalled long enough for him to move them out and where ever ever he sent them stabbed him in the back.
The reason the U.S. believed they had them is because, we gave them to them. That is a well documented fact. Ronald Rayguns and Donald Rumsfeld gave WMD's to Saddam to use on Iran. Not realizing that he would use them on his own people. I believe they thought they would turn them on the U.S. and probably would have had they not kept him in the (box) with sanctions. They knew they would have to get in there and clean up that mess so that's why they went.
Saddam refused to left the U.N. come in and inspect and they couldn't take a chance on him getting them to other terrorists. Which I am most certain he already did.
and BTW my son did 13 months in Fallujah

no matter how much any of you are going to say that YOU are the ones who are truly informed, there still persists the undeniable fact that 'information' is a risky term to use. you all believe different things bcz you are told different things. information is a product of those in higher ranks, and it's about as malleable as playing dough. i think few people know the truth--the REAL truth and nothing but--and those people are not about to divulge what they're privy to. And until they do, the usa government is going to play with everyone's minds while innocent people are getting blown up...
