Well right now it's all talk. No free agent can sign a contract unitl July 12th -- a lot can happen between today and then. He doesn't want 5 years like Lebron and Melo have recv'd. I was suprised that his salary was lower than Rasheed's and with the contract that was offered by Detroit, he'd only be making 100,000 more than Rasheed. But like some one said, it's all about the bottom line -- and that's in EVERYTHING.
I'm not a Detroit fan, however, I'm not suprised at managements offer and Ben's response. When a hot player comes to your city, prepare for them to leave after 3-5 years --especially if their team does well. Although if LeBron signs his contract and over the next 2-3 years if Cleveland doesn't win a trophy, he will be looking for a new home. We'll see -- time tells everything.

It is a heart breakin lost for the Pistons. Big Ben broke up the Best Starting 5. He went from 4yrs/$48 mil from the Pistons to 4yrs/$60 mil from the Bulls. Damn Ben. I'ma Bulls fan like no other too. But I didn't want to see that starting 5 break up so early, at least until '08. Ben Wallace was the best Center Detroit ever had. Sorry Lamibeer.

Ben Wallace would not who he is today if it wasn't for the pistons. i don't think he's worth 60 million. Especially when he is not an offensive player. I know Detroit will be all right though. I still have faith in them and Chicago is crazy if they think one guy (a gread defender/yet horrible offensive player) can change the whole outlook of their team. Ben only left because of money. I don't see why he left because you get paid alot more going to championships and playoffs. He definitely ain't gettin a ring with Chicago

I am very sad to see him go, but you know, you can't blame him. He has won a championship already with Detroit, he was named Defensive player of the year 4 times in a row. What else could he do with that team? It all came down to money.... I think if you were offered over 10 million more to play for another team, I think almost everyone would take it.

Yea this sucks. I just don't understand why you would need that much money. I mean if you have 48 million or 60 million your still filthy rich. Obviously he doesn't love the pistons, and I hope when we play chicago next we beat the livin **** out of them, and go on to win the NBA Championship next year, just so we can all make fun of Big Ben for being a trader.

Life goes on. Ben is a stud, but you wouldn't want to pay him $15 million a year until he turns 37 years old. Think of the possibilities Jomars has now with all of that salary cap space! We still have a good team and should be fine without him. But, yeah, I am kind of sad....

you'd be unhappy, yet you're literally not a baseball fan if you're leaving in the back of your crew like that. besides, it really is what I do. i'm prepared on the Brewers, 40 3 years, 3 submit season appearances. I %. out yet another club at present, that I figure will make the submit season. enable's say Yankees, Giants or Rangers. Now I keep an eye fixed on that club through the season, and in the experience that they make the submit season, i am going to persist with them. even if (and it really is significant). i do not take credit for being prepared on that club because it really is blatant bandwagoning,

Who cares. Your team is going to do really bad, especially with all the players they are losing. They lost Wallace, and now are going to lose Hunter. HA. THEY CAN'T SURVIVE NOW. YAY.
