1st- Your Question isn't racist, and for all those that said you are are stupid because they dont know what being racist is.
2nd- You have to watch your wording of the question, its why your gettin so many white people mad! lol
3rd- I know where your comin from, and from trying to feel where your coming from i can give you the answer i think you are lookin for.
Its not a black or white thing. Look at Country Music. Boring Right? Look at Hip Hop. Exciting you would say? If you were young and had a choice, would you listen to country music or hip hop? Its a no brainer.
White women aren't trying to be black. Hip Hop and R&B may have been made my blacks, but it isnt a black thing. Thats saying whatever a race invents, they keep it for their own race.
Lastly for your additional detail "plz stop yall have no rythem". They arent dancing for blacks, they dont give a shii about you, they dancing for themselves. Just like everyone else does.

Much Love tho

I think the real answer to ur question is that most white males or females aren't really trying to be any color of the opposite race. There are some who are brought up around blacks so they tend to pick up on their ways and vice versa. Now,I am black but as a young child I had morjority "white" friends and I lived up north. So moving in the south, I was always called"Stuck up" and I was teased about the way that I spoke. I've lived in the south for 12 years now and if I speak to u on the phone u would think that ur speaking with an white person.I doesn't make difference if the person is black, white or Mexican just as long as they are treating u in a friendly fashion then u shouldn't haven't anything to worry about if u do the same.

Good question, I know my friends do that too. The word you should use is closer too ghetto than "black". Maybe its because we see other people react as if its something bad when someone mentions a typical white person . Instead of being lame, we try something thats considered "cool" by everyone else which right now is rap and hiphop. After time we pick up other qualities.

Legitimate question:

Here are a couple views:

1. Everyone is entitled to express their personality.
2. This is not a color question...this is just a version of how people are.
3. Take it as a complement. There are nerds that try to be cool...there are lots of people that imitate others.
4. Maybe they just want to fit in.
5.Face it....maybe some ways are more cool than others.
6.It is sad that there is a "definition" of what is black and white...maybe it just is.

This is a group survey at work...

I agree with others here - I think that's a very prejudiced (if not racist) question, and I'm Black. There's no rule that says certain ethnic groups have to listen to a specific genre of music. Music is known as "the universal language" for a reason - it's for everybody.

p.s. - And as for the others who've posted insults and stereotypes about Black women or Black people in general here (and you know who you are), you're just as bad as the original poster is. Not all people of color are alike, y'know.

I don't think that trying to be black means that you like hip hop and R&B. Am I trying to be white because I listen to John Mayer or Natasha Bedingfield? or Latina because I like Shakira. I don't think that your identity (or even your ethnicity) as person, is wrapped up in what kind of music you listen to. Also, some white ppl do have rhythm and so black ppl don't. The whole rhythm thing is just a myth.

Who ever said that hiphop or rnb could only be listened to by blacks? Since when could one race have a monopoly on a genre of music? I know plenty of white females that can hold their own on the dance floor, and I know just as many black people that can't.

Please take all of those played out stereotypes and toss them out the window...

I'm white and I would certainly never try to be black. I'm also not racist, but I have to say, you sure sound like you are. If I were to ask you why some black women try to act white, you'd probably flip out. You also don't know how to spell or use correct grammar...just thought I'd mention it.

You sound like a racist.I imagine people(of all races) who watch BET or listen to a particular style of music do so because they enjoy that type of entertainment.I like A&E and TLC. I watch comedies and dramas. I listen to country, rock and a little R&B. I am not a big fan of hip hop but that is just me.The producers of T.V. and music may have a target market in mind but they welcome any audience. It would not be in their interest to exclude an audience.Open your mind, it's a big enough world for everyone.
