Where there is money to be made, anything illegal will be bought and sold. Cocaine and marijuana are illegal, but those are bought and sold, too.

Fireworks are catagorized as "safe and sane" or "dangerous". The law enforcement agencies, police and fire departments, do their best to control the sale of the fireworks. As a retired firefighter I impolre you to not "go under the counter" and purchase the illegal products. There are stands that sell the "safe and sane fireworks" that are run by charitable orginizations.[churchs, boy scouts, lions club,etc.] Please buy from them. July 4th. is the busiest day of the year for firefighters. The destruction caused by fireworks is almost unbelievable. Try to go to a controlled exibition that has been inspected and permitted by the fire service.

You can buy them at any firework store around you in most cases and all you have to do is sign a paper saying that you intend to take them out of your state to use them. So the people you see with them can get into trouble, but police are normally pretty lenient.

They are supposed to be illeagal for all the "little people" and only professionals are allowed to shoot them off.
the police are never around when you want them and always around when you don't. Ever noticed that?

They are only illegal in the city limits. You have to go outside the city limits.

even the guns can be smuggled into safe and strict countries such as Singapore. ...so firecrackers is no big deal to your place.

well, if they have a license, they can burst them. Otherwise, they're technically illegal but no one can stop them.
