The 'joke' doesn't even make sense. Tea stays in the cup?!? ...not if you drink it it doesn't...
at least make your jokes funny... and as for the Welshman and Argentine passing comment... well... where are your teams?
Don't encourage this character... he's a racist on a personal mission to denegrate England and the English... tomorrow it'll be the French... and one-day 'your' home team...
Concentrate on the football... and enjoy watching it when it's played well.

Actually there is a huge resemblance and a big difference. Just like the word TEA, the Brits have not completed being a TEAM. Tea is missing a letter and they are lacking confidence and heart.

there's a distinction in pronunciation as contained in the slang. American slang has a bent to sound harsher. Bugger off, between the English maximum efficient really equates to Fu_ ok off. there is also a distinction in meanings od some words.
