Using a tampon is a good alternative if your daughter needs to be swimming or something. Just make sure that she knows that they can be painful if they're not inserted right. Try to use it a coupe times at home to practice before she needs to use it in "public".

From one mother to another. I think 14 is fine if she needs to go swimming or something. It has no affect on her virginity or anything like that. I think tampons are fine and shaving legs, but tatoos and piercings are not ever acceptable. Neither is dating until like the prom. Does this help?

She should wait 3 years. That way she knows her periods is and how heavy her flow is. She can use them for swimming, but that is all. Three years will go by so fast, she won't even know or care. You can buy them so she can practice but make sure that she is aware of TSS. Hope that this helps.

Tampons will be more comfortable and less embarrassing for her, though she should keep pads as a back-up option. They won't interfere with her health or virginity.

As long as she can wear them comfortably I don't see the problem.
