We hardly hear your point of view.
And I was wondering what you think of the world and all that's going on in it.
Is there any advice you can give us as a younger generation?
What have you learned about yourself and the world as a whole?
Do you think we have the ability to get beyond all our differences?
What do you see in us that we have yet to see in ourselves?
What do you think will make the younger generation aware that listening to some of your wisdom can be a good thing... so we can stop making the same mistakes over and again?

What a great question! In no particular order, here are my thoughts:
We, as the "older generation", have generally failed you, the younger generation. We have failed to educate the youth of our country in the basics of math, English, Science, and especially history. The latter was brought to mind recently when I overheard a high-school graduate, who had been watching the film "Saving Private Ryan", say, "Now, what war was this and who were we fighting?". This young person was not "stupid" at all...she was just "ignorant" of much of history, and I lay the blame on that to inadequate teaching and a willingness of school administrations to "pass" students from one grade to the next and then grant them a diploma saying they are educated.
I know I'm getting a bit verbose here, but let me give you another example. About 15 years ago I took my two teenage sons out to eat at a Burger King restaurant. While there, and in line to order, electrical power to the cash registers automated functions cut off. The registers could still be opened, and cash was available for input and output. However, NOT ONE of the employees there could add up the cost of the ordered food, tack on the tax, and make change from the registers...NOT ONE of them, and the ages ranged from 16 to the Asst. Manager, who was 35 years old. They made the decision to shut down the restaurant because of their inability to correctly figure out the cost of the food ordered, take in cash, and make change. To me, this is terribly sad.
The American philosopher George Santyana wrote, "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I sincerely hope that soon the "younger generation" will pay serious heed to that, and change our way of educating the next generation to come along. Otherwise I feel this country is on a regretable downward slippery slope to general mediocrity.
See the below link to read more on this. Again, thank you for such an interesting question.

One thing is obvious from your question, you are wise beyond your years. It's the young people like yourself that give me hope for the coming years. I have faith in you, and thousands like you, to do what is the best for our country. I think America is "alive and well", and her future looks bright! My personal mentor, my Daddy, died several years ago. I went to him for wisdom when he was alive, and I try to fill his shoes, but they are hard to fill. That's where young people like you come in....wise, youthful, full of exuberance and enthusiasm, to take up where we leave off. I see hope and promise in you, for a wonderful place to have my Grandkids grow up. Long live America, and her youth!

I think it is sad that the people of the world has left God out of their lifes, The world would be a great place to live if it was a God fearing world. We have so many liberals trying to run our world that God has made, and leaving him out of it all. If we would quit fighting, killing babys, treating people so bad, and put morals back in our lifes, this world would turn aroundand be a great place to live, but if we keep God out of it it will one day be distroyed. So pleas help the world by keeping God in it. Thanks for you concern.
