yes it(bitter melon) is and if your singing with screams you can use it afterward to tighten back up the chords. lemons are good too.

I think they use either honey or lemon or some kind of a mix of the two. Def sure about the honey, not so much about the lemon.

dark chocolate, and drink a warm cup of water with honey before any performance. these methods are used by death metal singers, who have to put some serious strain on their vocal chords. should work for you too :P

biffred hit it right on the head,
but i will add, that nothing with sugar in it...the reason why...is because the sugar coats the vocal chords and can causes the sound to not be so clear...

actually water and only water. Juices are citric and can have bad effects on your throat. Milk coats your throat and stomach you dont want that going on. its best to just keep water in your system to keep clearing you out.
