Favorites aside who do you think (based on the way they've played and handled each team) deserves to win the whole thing

Lets analyze this.
Germany. teams played: Poland, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Sweden and Argentina. I think Poland, Sweden and Argentina were all formidable oppnents. Poland was considered a shoe in for the round of 16 and maybe the quarters. With their performance leading up to the world cup the Swedish were considered a quarter final or semi team. And Argentina was considered strong enough to win it all. Germany's report card thus far: A+
Italy: Chech Republic, Ghana, US, Australia, Ukraine. The US is a horrible team. I dont care that teir media hyped up and considered them a force to reckon with,the answer is hell no. Ghana was actually a very good team. So were the Chehc. In fact was favored by some. Australia is a new comer and although I am Italian we got an unfare call against them. Ukraine is a better team then people give them credit for. Iam going to say A-
Portugal: Angola, Iran, Mexico, Holland, England. Portugal is an interesting case. They emerged convincingly from a weak group. Iran and Angola were considerably weak. Mexico is a good team but lacks a punch. Zholland is far from their glory days,witth the rebuilding of a new team, that saw the likes of Davids, Van Hoojdonk and in the last game Van Nilsteroy not participate. And England was the least impressive team in the tournament and they passed the test with an ugly performance. I want them to win against France but their report card is a B+
FRANCE: Swqitzerland,Korea, Togo, Spain and Brazil. France came out of the weakest group unconvincingly. Switzerland didnt even deserve to be in this tournament if it wasnt for Sepp Blatter. They came at the expense of Turkey when FIFA robbed Turkey of a chance to qualify not once but three times. Korea and Togo were both extremely weak. Spain team is a very young team and they never go far in the tournament. However France got a lot of bonus points for their convincing performance against Brazil. Still their report card thus far in my opinion is a B-
there you have it based on performance thus far Germany. But one game changes everything. And I am Italian so FORZA AZURRI.

I think after the way brazil and england went germany should win it cause they have handeled each team tio the limit and played like the best in the world all of the others have made a mistake in some of the mastches !!! but not germany... they have played it and yes they deserve to win... cause they have it all...

Yeah and I suppose France didn't dive in the World Cup. It's been a year and we are still celebrating. It's a great satisfaction to know that people like you are still *****!n @ moaning. We only care about the oppinions of the other italian fans or the national team players themselves. Oh and R035 I hope you know who Materazzi is.

Italy is a joke, Soccer and Italy shouln'd be placed in the same sentence.
Portugal is my pick. They have played with allot of heart and showed everybody that a team doesn't need to have superstarts or to be help by the referies (italy) to make it in the world cup.

who cares ,it's a crappy sport anyway.just alot of crybabies and little boys trying to play men,go back to the sandbox little boysssss!!!!!! can everybody say hockey ,a real man's sport.for those who live in canada it is and always will be our national sport and lacrosse .if you can't hit anybody in a sport what's the point,real men get hit in sport and little boys cry and whine!!!!!!!//////////////////// when your drilled with this for the last month i have to voice my opinion,to wave a flag when your not born there is insult to the country that you chose to live in.if canada ever had a soccer team you dead beats would cheer for your countries regardless ,this is canada not those other countries .try waving a canadian flag for a change ,.if not, plenty of room back home in those countries that you are so loyal to!! this is canada and don't forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just remember it's treason to do what your doing!!!!!!!!

Italy, they have worked hard, made great results, and haven't won the cup in a while-also their team is made up of all Italians.

Germany have played an awesome tournament so far and since its their home ground, I think they should win!!
Though I wouldn't mind it too much if Portugal made it since they have played pretty incredible football.
