I think it depends on the relationship you have with your family. If your family isn't supportive of you, doesn't believe in you, talks down to you and makes you feel worthless then you might feel better around friends that truly show their confidence, beliefe, and love in you. However, if you family is supportive and your friends are too, then i think there is a thin line between what makes someone a friend or "like family". Some people have friends that feel like brothers or sisters. I once heard that friends are just family you CHOOSE :)

Sometimes friends can be better than family, but its not easy to say which is better than the other, cause family can also be better if you dont have the right friends.

Friends and family have so many simular things. You share feelings to both friends and family, you love your friends and family, you care about friends and family but it all depends. Families can be the lovely cherishable cherry on your sundae, but not all families are like your average one. Some families yell, scream n on-stop and then you consider that you like your lovely friends more. What I think of family is just a blood relationship, but a friend is much deeper. One is can 100% trust and devour. A family memeber can ALWAYS bea friend, so therefore I choose friend.

Friends are good to have, but family is better. Friends come and go and family....they will always be there for you oh matter what.

Friends and family are two different entities. What the former can do the latter may be unable to do. However, a family is a family a friend is a friend you equally keep them.

sometimes friends are better than family in some cases your friends are there for you more than family. I have been lucky I have some friends and family that are always here for me

No. Your friends will come and go but and you may believe that you love your friends better than you love your family. But when worse comes to worse your family is ALWAYS be there. It doesn't feel like it sometimes (believe me I know) but they are.

Depends on what friends you have and what family you have. Some "friends" do betray you, let you down, and do all kinds of bad things. So do family. Use your own judgement to decide if you want to be around them more often or less often.
