I just began studying Tarot and was wondering is it possible to ask the cards a question or must you have another person do it for you? Will it bring any different results?

'do it for you' meaning I need another reader present to read my questions.

I have been reading the Tarot cards professionally for over ten years and am always amazed at how accurate Tarot card readings can be. So, yes, I strongly believe that the Tarot cards are a very insightful tool for understanding the present circumstances, which can also guide you on your future path. Tarot readings are usually relevant for around 6-12 months. However, if there is a major change, then you may want to reconnect with the cards again. The key thing is that the cards are reading on the energies of the present, so if the present circumstances change significantly, then it may be wise to revisit the Tarot cards again.

Serena and Carrie have very good ideas. I've also done many years of readings, often for myself. My readings for myself differred greatly from those I did for others. Since I know my background, I didn't do the entire "tree" for a question for me unless it was a very complicated situation or I didn't know what was bothering me. I would generally start the day shuffling and cutting the deck once, record the exposed card in a journal, then see how that card reflected the events of the day.

I also journaled my questions, limiting myself to 1 or 2 per day, very focused, and using only a very tight setup of "crossing", "future", and "fear" cards. I then journaled the response cards, and anything that happened later on that related to the reading.

I don't often use the cards now, since I have found other, easier ways to make contact with the knowledge I need, but I still get them out once in a while when I "get stuck" and they work just fine for me. Good luck with your readings.

Absolutely you can do a ready on yourself! Try keeping a journal though, and make sure you're not emotional when you are shuffling the cards. If you have a specific question in mind, make sure there are no distractions in the room, and be certain to focus solely on the question.

Keeping a journal of the cards that you laid out and the question asked, will help you refer back to the reading later on, when you want to clarify a particular point of the question you asked.

Yes. In doing Tarot card readings for other people, one needs to have that person to focus their intent as the cards are being shuffled. You can just do this yourself for your own questions.

Yes you can do a reading for yourself or even for someone else that is not present. For some people tho, they are not able to see (read) for themselves right off. It takes time. The results should be the same wether you do it or not your self. Just as the answers as well should be the same.

It is possible, but you have to be aware that it is often hard to be objective when you read your own cards simply because you are too close to the situation. If I do read for myself I only draw 1 or 2 cards, and ask very specific questions. Anything more involved and you are better having someone (who you don't necessarily know) read for you.

Yes, it is quite possible to do a reading for yourself, but please be aware that you may inadvertently read the cards only as you'd like the result to be.

Please try to be objective when reading for yourself or anyone else.

Have a lovely rest of the day and have a lovely 4th of July.

Yes it goes by the energy of the person who shuffles the cards so if you shuffle them focus your mind on what you want to know then the reading is for you.

Good Luck

Please be careful! Tarot Cards are of the devil and he is a liar! He will gladly enter your life through these cards, whether you are alone or with someone else. When you read these cards or have them read, you are opening the door to evil in your life. Try reading your Bible instead and allow blessing instead.
