I am Portuguese, I know London well and although I have travelled a LOT I have not been to all the cities that Europe can offer but London is a dream in the summer... Beautiful, DIFFERENT, SOPHISTICATED, EVERYTHING. iN THE WINTER IT IS... pass !!! And yours ? Which city in Europe have you visited IN THE SUMMER that you really liked. Thank you for your time

So our American brothers do not feel left out, I have been the USA (almost all over the USA) and I found your country one of the most MAJESTIC and beautiful countries on the planet. YOu guys are all about AWE !! That is how I felt looking at Crater Lake in Oregon, for example. Forget the Grand Canyon (never been there, lol) go to Crater Lake !!! The size of that once live volcano. IMAGINE a volcano of the size. Andn I was on Mt Rainier and Mt. St Helen's BEFORE it erupted.

And just in case "go_england" says "WHAT ABOUT CANADA!", Canada is a country I would love to visit. Beautiful !!! Isn't OUR planet beautiful... isn't it just asking to be spoilt by us humans ? Dinosaurs were all over the planet for some 600 million years (?) and did not cause any pollution and presumably the ozone layer was intact.

Milan, Como and the Lakes, Venice and Rome in Italy; Paris, Saint Malo and Cannes in France; London and York in England; Dublin in Ireland; Lisbon and Coimbra in Portugal; Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville in Spain; Munich in Germany; Salzburg and Vienna in Austria; Amsterdam in Holland; Athens in Greece. Those are the cities that impressed me the most, and I visited them in the summer (I'm European, and when I lived in Europe, everything was so close hehehe).

I have visit Athens Rome Amsterdam Berlin Copenhagen Luxembourg Hamburg Hanover Esbjerg and many villages in all Europe. In summer i choose Mykonos Greek island in the Aegean sea. Its the most sexy island on the world. At winter i choose Berlin the city that never sleeps. Also very nice are Athens and Rome

I lived in Europe for very long time and I travel from West to East,
there are many beautiful places in Europe to see. The most beautiful City in my opinion is Barcelona great buildings in old style and most amazing Stadium Nou Camp and great atmosphere.

Having lived in London for years, summer only brings to mind overheated tubes and lack of any good ventilation in our house :S
I was in Berlin in summer 1987 and it was amazing - leafy, green, was the birthday of the city and amazing celebrations everywhere, so that wins my prize.

Holland is beutifull in the summer, everything is lush and warm, if you can find good weather. I cant pick just one city, but the countries so small, you can visit alot of them in just one week.
